Jasmine Baxter

NILD Discovery/Educational Therapist
OVERVIEW

Jasmine has dedicated one year to the Huff Learning Center, serving as an NILD/Discovery Educational Therapist, and offering valuable support services in both elementary and secondary. She has a Bachelor of Arts Degree in behavioral science from Concordia University in Austin, Texas.

Jasmine’s passion for working with students began in her junior year of college, where she prayed about God’s plan for her life. He answered through a speech given by President Obama, where he said, “If you want to know what to do with your life, become a teacher.” This changed the trajectory of Jasmine’s life, and she began pursuing a teaching certification and taught for over eight years in public, private and charter schools.

She loves her current role as therapist because she gets to meet the needs of students in a personalized way, which has always been her heart’s desire. The NILD program is a one-of-a-kind program that she is grateful and honored to be involved in.

Additionally, Jasmine enjoys spending time with her husband and her two children, who attend CCS. She serves as worship leader at her church and loves to sing and write music. Jasmine’s favorite scripture is Psalm 91, which starts off by saying “He who dwells in the secret place of the Most-High shall abide under the shadow of the Almighty…” It is a constant reminder that God is with her, protects her and desires her full trust in Him and His plan.
