The Cypress Christian School speech team competed April 11-13, 2023, in Waco, TX at the TAPPS State Speech Meet and won STATE CHAMPION Overall School in speech events. Students contributing to the overall school score:

- Nicole Santos – sixth place

- Ester Torres Pinhiero – State Runner-Up
- Katie Schmitt – third place
- Zak Wright – fifth place
In academics, the Cypress Christian School academics team competed Wednesday, April 12 and Thursday, April 13, in Waco, TX at the TAPPS State Academics Meet and placed in the top 10 schools for academics with the following students earning distinctions:

- Verena Shatby – sixth place

- Evan Ellington – third Place

- Cypress Christian School’s Yearbook, Impact: One Small Gesture was named State Runner-Up!
With the academic and speech points combined, Cypress Christian School ranked fifth place overall! Way to go, Warriors!
