Admissions Requirements
Spiritual Match
At least one parent must give a written account of how they came to know the Lord and be in agreement with the CCS Statement of Faith & Doctrine and the Mission Statement.
Behavioral Match
Students must have a record of good behavior.
Academic Match
Transitional Kindergarten (TK) – Students applying to transitional kindergarten (TK) are given a developmental assessment to determine developmental age and proper placement. There is also a required observation.
Kindergarten – Students applying to kindergarten are given a learning readiness screening and a developmental assessment to determine developmental age and proper placement. There is also a required observation.
Grade 1 – Students applying to grade 1 are given a learning readiness screening and a developmental assessment to determine developmental age and proper placement. They must also test on or above grade level on the reading and math sections of the CCS entrance exam and meet the minimum required reading level, to be determined by administration of the Fountas & Pinnell reading assessment.
Grades 2-5 – Students applying to grades 2-5 must test on or above grade level on the ISEE Test and meet the minimum required reading level for their grade, to be determined by administration of the Fountas & Pinnell reading assessment. Students are asked to provide standardized and/or achievement test scores if taken within one year of the application date.
Grades 6-12 – Students applying to grades 6-12 must test on or above grade level on the ISEE Test. Students are asked to provide standardized and/or achievement test scores if taken within one year of the application date.

Our admissions process is designed to welcome families into our tight-knit community and ensure the best fit for both students and parents. Before applying, we highly encourage you to participate in at least one of the following:

These steps allow you to get to know the school and fully understand our admissions requirements. Please note that at least one parent must be a professing Christian and be in agreement with our Statement of Faith and Doctrine.

Cypress Christian School utilizes an online admissions application for new students.

- Once your account is created, log in to your account.
- Select – Create a New Student Application for each child you wish to enroll. You will then have the flexibility to log in and out of your account and access your open application(s).

After submitting the application, along with the non-refundable application fee, you will be able to track your admissions status by logging into your account.

Once the application is submitted, the Admissions Office will contact you to schedule testing.

Transitional Kindergarten (TK)

- Fountas & Pinnell reading assessment plus a writing sample (for mid-year admission)

Students are asked to provide standardized and/or achievement test scores if taken within one year of the application date.
The following documents must be submitted to the Admissions Office before the interview will be scheduled:
- Copy of birth certificate
- Copy of current immunization record
- Copy of current progress report (K), report card (Grades 1 – 12), transcript (Grades 9 – 12)
- New Family Church Reference Request Form
- Confidential Teacher Evaluation Request K – Grade 5
- Confidential Teacher Evaluation Request Grades 6-12
A family interview may be offered once the applicant’s file is complete. If offered, both parents and student(s) would be required to meet with administrators. After the interview, the application file will be forwarded to the Admissions Committee for review.
Families will be informed of acceptance or denial of admission after the Admissions Committee reviews the information.
