Educational Technology
Cypress Christian School views technology as an opportunity to enhance the educational process. It is the view of CCS that technology is a tool used to prepare students to function and excel in any environment. CCS takes the view that technology changes constantly, but the skills needed to be proficient in its use do not.
Cypress Christian is a 1:1 technology school for students in grades two-12. Students are actively engaged with the Microsoft Office Suite and Schoology as their Learning Management System. Technology is a part of everyday life and the CCS student is given an opportunity to learn to use technology and to use it in a way that glorifies God.
Students in kindergarten and first grade have Chromebooks in the classroom that they use as part of learning stations within the classroom, but they do not take the devices home. Beginning in second grade, students take their Chromebook home on an as-needed basis. Third grade students start taking their devices with them to and from school.
