Dr. Potts has over 20 years’ experience as a classroom teacher, coach and administrator. At previous schools, he has a proven track record of significantly improving the school’s financial footing while operating on two campuses; implementing systems to increase re-enrollment rates and leading the school through ACSI/AdvancedED accreditation. He was able to triple the merit-based college scholarships offered to graduating seniors during his tenure. Seeking to ensure graduates are better prepared to take on leadership roles in college and beyond, Dr. Potts began a partnership with Student Leadership University whereby he was able to take select students on international experiences to Jerusalem and Amman, Jordan. Dr. Potts has presented as a keynote speaker both nationally and internationally, is a published author and has previously served as a church elder and small group Bible study leader for over 10 years.
David Swan joined the CCS team in 2012 and oversees both the development and operations functions of the school. He has over 15 years of business management experience, focusing on designing, managing and improving key business processes with companies in a variety of industries. Mr. Swan is a certified Six Sigma advisor, specializing in strategic planning, implementation, training, coaching and driving project closure. He has also written and presented papers on training and has co-authored articles for various engineering journals.
As the Director of Culture, Kris Hogan’s goal is to equip Christians and develop the next generation of leaders while partnering with like-minded parents. His passion is training believers and helping them build a Biblical mental framework to interpret the world and boldly serve the Lord through decisive action. “I would rather train and help people develop a mindset based on Biblical principles than do anything else in the world!”
Kris Hogan has over 24 years of educational experience as a teacher, coach, administrator and athletic director. During his coaching tenure, he has seen teams capture 18 state championships in multiple sports, including football, track, baseball, softball, boys soccer, girls soccer, boys basketball, girls basketball and swim. Coach Hogan has been the recipient of the National Sportsman of the Year Award presented by AT&T and a multiple-time recipient of a national Character in Coaching Award. Called out of coaching in 2024, coach is expanding his outreach within the CCS community.
Patrick Reents serves as the Vice President of Academics at Cypress Christian School, bringing over 15 years of experience in education and administration. Known for his innovative approach and dedication to integrating Christian values into academics, Patrick excels in leading with vision and fostering strong relationships. With a robust background in teaching and leadership, along with exceptional problem-solving skills and a commitment to student engagement, Patrick is a valued member of our team. His passion for Christian education drives his enthusiasm to collaborate with our school community, advancing our academic programs and enriching our school culture.
Craig Soudelier comes to CCS with decades of experience in operations, human resources, sales and marketing. He has held leadership roles in Fortune 500 companies and has been a successful private business owner. He is a strong communicator and lover of people. One of his greatest strengths is his ability to build meaningful relationships and invest in people. In his many leadership positions, he has proven himself to be a born leader, team-builder, community connector and strategic planner with a strong track record of success in managing people, projects and technology. He is very active in the Cypress community and has served as a board member for the Cy-Fair Houston Chamber of Commerce for six years and was Chairman of the Board in 2021. Craig is excited to come home to CCS to partner with school families and the community to build the bridge to our future.
Drew Sells is a highly relational and enthusiastic leader eager to contribute to team success through hard work, attention to detail and excellent organizational skills. He has a clear understanding of developing a winning culture through the platform of athletics and a proven track record of doing so for nearly 20 years of Christian education experience. In addition, he has over 15 years of experience leading and attending Student Leadership University from 101 through 401. He is motivated to teach the next generation of men and women to pursue Christ and change the world.
Mr. Sells is committed to athletic excellence in both girls’ and boys’ sports and is nationally certified in sports strength and conditioning. As athletic director or coach, Sells’ teams have had great success, winning multiple district and state championships. He was an integral part of the staff and faculty that TAPPS twice awarded the Henderson Cup, awarded annually to the top overall school in each TAPPS classification.
