The mission of Cypress Christian is accomplished through a partnership between the school and home. CCS seeks to develop Christ-like character and intellectual competence, helping each student to achieve maximum academic and personal success. Current students and graduates attest to the CCS advantage, a unique combination of strengths creating an academically challenging and nurturing environment.
Academic excellence and spiritual excellence are not mutually exclusive. In fact, spiritual excellence calls us to be good stewards of the gifts and talents God has provided; therefore, it calls us to academic excellence as well. It is this striving for excellence in both realms that makes CCS what it is, a distinctly Christian school.
The School Voting Membership, an association of parents, grandparents and employees of the school, offers the opportunity to elect board members and have input into key school decisions.
Additionally, our Parent Service Organization (PSO) is full of active parents, grandparents and other special relatives and friends who have servant hearts and give freely of their time and talents to make CCS the best it can be.
The College/Academic Advisors guide students through the college and scholarship application process. Honors, dual credit and AP courses are offered.
The caring, committed faculty are degreed and professionally certified and actively incorporate God’s Word into the classes and activities of each day with the intent of showing students that God is involved in their academics, co-curricular activities, spiritual life and service. They are committed Christians, who realize God created each child with unique strengths and abilities. Teachers understand that learning takes place in a variety of ways. They have a desire to kindle and nourish a love for learning in their students by helping them find new ways to discover their God-given talents and potential in Christ.
TK-12 students are blessed to have two full-time nurses, Nurse Robin Brown (elementary) and Nurse Pam Van Rieg (secondary), to care for them as needed throughout the school day.
